Horace Jewelry is not simply a handcrafted jewelry brand, it's an adventure born of a passion shared by two friends, Alexandra Cloutier-Bernier and Marie-Josée Fleury. Since the creation of our brand in May 2012, we've worked with passion and determination to build a company that today is recognized for its elegant, affordable jewelry across North America.
The beginnings: a shared passion for jewelry
It all began unexpectedly, when we met at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, organizing the fashion show. This meeting revealed a shared passion: the creation of home-made jewelry. Gathering our old materials and drawing on our endless inspiration, we began creating bracelets, earrings and necklaces simply for our own pleasure.
However, it soon became clear that this project had much greater potential. The summer of 2012 was entirely devoted to putting together what would become Horace Jewelry. During those months, we worked every day to develop our jewelry designs, refine our marketing, and seek inspiration for our brand to see the light of day thanks to the beginnings of social networking.
The birth of a Quebec-made jewelry company
In 2012, when we were selling mainly via Facebook and through a few retailers, we were still exploring the market for minimalist jewelry and fashion accessories. We began to build our community and spread the word about our unique creations, which were designed to be simple, elegant and accessible at the same time.
It was in September 2014 that we reached an important milestone with the launch of our transactional website. This milestone enabled us to share our passion for jewelry made here with a much wider audience. It was a few years later that we decided to expand our product range by introducing hair accessories such as barrettes, hair clips and elastics. These hair products have quickly become essentials for our customers and are among our best sellers.
Organic growth and quality jewelry
Twelve years later, we are proud to boast more than 150 points of sale in North America, and to have become a timelessly fashionable jewelry brand, with products found across Canada, including in British Columbia. Our success is based on our commitment to offering quality jewelry, meticulously designed in our Repentigny boutique workshop. Each piece is designed to combine elegant design and affordability, while offering a memorable customer experience.
